PRINCIPLES OF POWER OF ATTORNEY
If the Power of Attorney is executed in India then the following principles apply :-
The holder of the Power of Attorney should be a resident of India.
The Power of Attorney is to be printed on a non-judicial stamp paper from the respective state.
In order to execute the power of attorney each page is to be signed by the applicant.
If the Power Of Attorney is being executed outside India by non- residents then the following principles apply :-
The holder of the power of Attorney should be a resident of India.
The Power of Attorney is to be executed either on a stamp paper or on plain paper as per the law of the country where the document is being signed.
The Power of Attorney should be legalized at the requisite embassy or Consulate or in countries which have a reciprocal arrangement with India, it may be notarized in the country of the executants and stamped in India within two months of receiving the Power of Attorney from the foreign Country.
